Best thing about the western genre is that it's able to tell the American story in their characters, the nature of the plot, and the landscape itself. It deals with ideas of loneliness, justice, vengeance, ambition, and other themes that not only make for great characters but awesome storytelling.

The other genre that comes to mind when dealing with these themes is the epic fantasy story. With their vast histories and gigantic casts they are able to speak to the reader by engrossing them in their multiple levels of story and divergent and parallel character arcs.

We feel that these two styles of storytelling complement each other perfectly. And as such we have created our sweeping western epic, Evercross. Taking cues from American history like the American civil war and the period of expansion into native lands, the world of Evercross has been ravaged by conflicting forces. Magic and technology vie for supremacy against each other and the races of the world coexist in violence.

Over the course of twelve issues we will tell the story of Dominic Driscoll as a boy and young man. Trained since childhood to be the perfect killer, Dominic loses his mentor to a vicious unstoppable force. The boy is shattered by this and seeks only vengeance. Though people come into his life, friends allies love interests, all he desires is the death of his mentor's killer, he will forsake everything and everyone for blood.

Though we see this story through Dominic it is much bigger and more complex than a mere revenge tale. Dominick and his group will indeed stumble onto the workings of an earth shattering conflict and ultimately learn their places within it.

Evercross is Media Monsters' first comic book and we need your help to get this story told. A twelve-issue series is a tremendous undertaking for independent companies and we are commited to bringing you high end production value. However, we need additional artists, inkers and colorists and that takes money. With the funding of Evercross #1, we plan to shop through the convention circuit and submit to companies who’ll publish our maxi-series.

Depending on the level of donation, you would not only get an autographed copy of the first issue, you would also be qualified for posters, exclusive sketches, other memorabilia, being listed as a producer in the credits, even having a character with your likeness in the series! Whatever you can spare would be greatly appreciated and help us tell (and distribute) this incredible epic.
